Visit the Cordillera de Nahuelbuta, with forests of ancient trees, such as araucarias, that offers a true trip to the past, with experiences in direct contact with the indigenous Mapuche culture, who will welcome us in their community. Knowing the great variety of native birds, like the most southern parrots the world, the cachañas and the biggest carpenter bird of Chile; Visiting viewpoints not to be missed, where you can appreciate the Andes Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean from the same place.
We will visit the wonderful Nahuelbuta National Park, with surviving forests of the last glaciation, which leads to endemic species of fauna, which makes it one of the emblematic parks of Chile.
Discover the town of Contulmo, a striking town of traditional German architecture inserted in the middle of the Mapuche territory.
We will share with the community of Elicura, where we can learn and participate in their traditions and gastronomy. We will go deeper into this culture by visiting the Mapuche Museum of Cañete.

Day 1
We pick you up in Concepción, at the airport or at your Hotel and we move south to the Bio Bio River, entering Mapuche territory, our first stop being Cañete, where we will visit this typical town and the interesting Mapuche Museum. For Lunch will taste the Chilean Mapuche fusion gastronomy, and then transfer to our lodging, near Lake Lanalhue.
Day 2
After a typical breakfast, we will head for the Nahuelbuta National Park, which we will visit to appreciate its thousand-year-old araucaria forest, more than 1,500 years old, until reaching one of the highest points of the Nahuelbuta mountain range: Stone Of the Eagle, from where you can appreciate the Pacific Ocean and the Andes, from the same place. After enjoying a beautiful sunset, we return to our lodging to rest.
Day 3
We will begin our cultural day, where we will know the rich culture with the local community. We will visit the vegetable gardens of the locals to perform traditional tasks with the families of the Valley of Elicura, then learn to cook typical dishes of the place with local products.
In the afternoon we will return to the lodge to rest.
Day 4
We will travel southwards to visit the «Lemu Mau» trail in the Contulmo National Monument, which stands out for the protection of species of fauna and flora, such as pudú, Darwin frog and several species of ferns.
Then we will move to the town of Contulmo, to know its heritage houses and museums in a city tour. In the afternoon we will return to Concepción to the airport or hotel.
